From The New York Times:
The earthquake that devastated Mexico on Tuesday knocked over dozens of buildings in the capital alone, killed children at a school and sent waves of people running into the streets for safety — for the second time in just two weeks.
The quake struck on the 32nd anniversary of another major catastrophe: the 1985 quake that killed as many as 10,000 people in Mexico. And it also came less than two weeks after the most powerful earthquake in Mexico in a century killed at least 90 people and destroyed thousands of homes.
“It’s like Sodom and Gomorrah, like God is angry at us,” said Jorge Ortiz Diaz, 66, a government employee who was helping rescue people after the second quake, his eyes filling with tears.
